Takam Market is MacEwan University’s newest food destination and Edmonton’s newest food hall. The word “Takam” is taken from the Filipino language and it literally means ‘to crave’. It is something one would say to friends when deciding on a place to eat. “What do you feel like? Where do you guys want to go?” In other words, Takam means to let one’s tastebuds lead the way. Takam Market was created by local restaurateurs, Ariel del Rosario and Roel Canafranca from Filistix.
